2014 & 2015

Wow. I am so behind. You would think that nothing is happening on this journey. Well the opposite is true. We are so busy. I know as the kids get older it will only get busier. I am not sure I remember 2014. I think it was a blur. I do remember we lost my father-in-law in November.  It makes the holidays hard. It has been a year now and he is still greatly missed. It's hard to believe my daddy has been gone 9 years. I still miss him everyday. What I wouldn't give for one of his hugs. No one can hug you like your daddy. 

I started working at the elementary library in August 2014. It has been exciting. I think that has added to the craziness of our lives. I loved being home but love being there with the kids too. It makes me sad. They won't be there much longer. They are now in 3rd grade. Only 2 1/2 more years and they are on to middle school. 😩😢.  I sometimes wish they were still little babies.  

Let's see what else.... So far this sounds pretty depressing. The kids did really well in UIL this year. Logan got 4th place on the 4th grade chess team. His team got 2nd place. He got 3rd in storytelling and 3rd in spelling. Lindsi got 3rd place in 3rd grade chess, 2nd place in Music Memory  and the team got 1st place. 

We spent Christmas in Ruidoso again this year. Snow sledding at Cloudcroft and sand sledding at White Sands. We had to cut our vacation short by a day. There was a storm coming with blizzard conditions. We definitely didn't want to get caught in a blizzard. 

Now let's see. I continue to see my oncologist every 6 months. It's nearly time again. 7 years in upon us. I go for blood tomorrow. Everything is good.  Going to therapy trying to get my parts fixed. Darn chemo, hysterectomy and cancer meds broke my parts. I could say more but I won't. So we are headed to 2016 in a few days.  What will my resolution be???  We will see. Bye for now!
